I am lowering the new (to me) Road King since I'm only 5'8", and I really want my feet firmly on the ground. I have sent the rear shocks out to Phoenix Customs to have them dropped 1.25 inches. I have the HD lowering springs on the way. My question is how difficult is it to swap out the old springs and install the new ones? I think I can pop off the fork caps if that is all that is required. However, taking the forks completely apart, and getting everything back together may well be out of my league. Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Did a search and could not find much.

Progressive drop in lowering kit. 2" kits come with how to instructions and it's really not that hard to do. Need make sure the kit you get is for that year of bike and make a party of it. I have friends who will do just about anything for beer!
