No, they used a brand new short block last time too.

Original crank runout was .004", second was .003", and this one is also .003".

Anything that has an oil passage was replaced both times.

Motor has been rebuilt, but when they were heat cycling it, they found the fuel pump was not holding pressure. They tested it with a test fuel pump they keep on hand. This was on Saturday, and then the fuel pumps were on backorder for 2 days. They put one on order today and getting it overnighted. Should be here by noon tomorrow.

what kind of power are these m8 oem flywheels handling? I put a 131 s.e. kit in a friends bike we did swap to the woods 77x cam and have the 2inch thunder header on it....hasnt been to the dyno yet but with the wide band auto tuner from dhynojet..she already rips.

I would make the small one match the others, that way sometime in the future they can't get mixed up.

Kainam, this is anecdotal. I have stopped by my mechanic's shop twice recently & both times they were putting big bore S&S jugs, etc. on 2 fairly new M8 motors w/less than 5,000 miles. In both motors, they found scoring on both pistons & excessive carbon build up on valves & tops of pistons. Owners had no idea anything bad was going on, just wanted bigger S&S jugs.

Edit: scoring on both cylinder walls, not pistons. My bad.
