Hello All,

Question about harley MAP sensors. Last year the harley map sensor was $65 canadian dollars.
This year the part has changed number and is now $191 canadian dollars.
Does anyone know what has changed on this part? Is it a new and better model or Harley once again just screwing us over?
I know Denniskirk and JPCYCLE have them for $66 dollars, and likely my choice. But i am curious as to the Harley price increase and new part number.

Thanks
Gary

my '09 triGlide parts manual shows the map sensor is p/n 32319-07 on shopronnies microfiche.com they show $93.00
Found out some info on the NEW map sensor. First Harley has tripled the price of this sensor. Only difference between the old and the new is that it has code in it for more bikes. And they no they fail a lot so making more money off us again. That being said i decided not to give harley my money and bought the DRAG SPECIALTIES one, that is manufactured by the same people who much the harley one and its only $66. Should be here on tomorrow...fingers crossed it fixes my problems.
Been jammed by HD multiple times...Thats why my dollars go to indept. hd mechanics and parts by quality 3rd party manufacturers selling stuff made in the USA or other fine countries that are our friends and the money goes BOTH ways...
Let me give you an example of the craziness...My 08 rocker custom...the original tail lights were junk from the factory...I had multiple fail, five if my memory serves me (full of water...brand new...1 led per light...really?) under warranty...after multiple FIRM discussions with HD so called "customer support"...they finally met their obligations and supplied me with the UPGRADED lights (reved the part number) with multiple leds and now really waterproof. When I picked up the new lights at my ex dealer, they gave me the lights and told me they were STILL selling the old rev until they were gone...at $550.00 per pair...I told the parts guy they were junk and he said they were going to sell the remaining supply...Thats nuts and very unfair to your customers or ex customers...
I don't give my hard earned money to disreputable firms...
Thanks for the info on the alternatives...

Hey guys, the listing I have for the 2009 SG for a MAP sensor, shows $43.00US.
Part # 32424-98.
I came up with p/n 32319-07 for the '09 SG !
Wouldn't the -98 p/n be for the Mag. Mar. injection ?
This part is not longer available..tried everywhere...there is a new part now. Sorry no part no.
Its $150 US or $191 Cdn.

Tried multiple stores.

Hey guys, the listing I have for the 2009 SG for a MAP sensor, shows $43.00US.
Part # 32424-98.
32316-99 SENSOR, MANIFOLD AIR PRESSURE 1 43.00 38.99 32424-98 MAP SENSOR, W/O SEAL 1 43.00 38.99

Here are the 2?? numbers listed on Ronnie's parts finder for 2009 SG
Not sure why two numbers, and of course not sure if they are right, but sure beats 200 bucks! Worth a try.
I'm pretty sure the -98 and -99 P/Ns are for Magnetti Marrelli efi. Totally different sensor than the one that Delphi uses.

May very well be. Listing doesn't say, and doesn't give any other option for 2009. Also don't know why there is 2 listings.
Looking thru J&P's catalog they list 402-233 MAP sensor for Delphi EFI 1999 - 2009 !
OEM # 32316-99. $65.95.
Ronnies Parts Finder lists 2002 as first year Delphi !
Part # 32316-99 at oemcycle.com is $54. bucks

I think the 32316-99 is the right MAP sensor, but remember this poster is in Poland, could be different!
ordered mine from JP CYCLE...OE # 32316-99
supposed to work on my 09 dyna...will install sometime this week and report back.
I should have asked this at the start of your thread. Why are you replacing the MAP sensor ?
I've been servicing/repairing fuel injected Harleys since 1995 and have never had to replace a MAP sensor for failing ! IAT sensor and Baro sensor too ! Usually codes associated with those sensors diagnose as wiring or connection problems.

Poland, Canada ! :eek
Yea, got several posts mixed up! At any rate the MAP sensor should only be 50or so USD

not sure where the high price came from
Well i have had a lot of engine running rough problems. One minute the bike runs good , next minute poorly, pinging, idles rough, vibration. This bike has been to harley so many times i am done with them. I have read many posts on the MAP sensor causing engine vibration and improper running. The posts i read described the problems i am having. So since Harley Davidson dealers here in Winnipeg, have NO idea how to fix Harleys, I figured for $60 i would give it a shot. Still cheaper than giving it to the dipshits here. If this doesn't work, I will buy another brand bike. If the dealers can't fix them, not much point in owning one. I dont' want to go into it all but just about everything else has been done to this bike to fix this problem and its cost me a small forture, so i am going to do this small job and see what comes of it.

I have posted on this forum and many others about the issues with my bike. But know one has come up with a solution.

I will post my results sometime in the coming week.

Thanks
Gary

If you go to a harley store and try to order the old part , they will see a service bulliten showing the new part which is now $150 US or $191 Canadian. Tried buying here from two harley dealers $191 Canadian. Also tried Las Vegas Harley and Red Rock Harley while i was just in Vegas and they said its been replaced with the new part costing $150.

Part # 32316-99 is the listed part # . I have found it on many, many sites listed for from between 40 USD and 150 USD. Just google the part number.
