Hey everyone!
I'm having issues with my 97 electra glide and could use some help figuring out where to start. The problem is I recently had a full service on the bike. Two weeks after the service I noticed my oil pressure had begin to drop, then the oil light would flash on and off until finally it would just perminatiley stay on. I took it back to the shop that serviced it, and the guy said " I had a bad engine main seal". He then replaced the seal, as well as the derby cover gasket, drain plug o ring and primary cover gasket. He said the issue was fixed, but the next day I noticed my primary was now leaking more oil than before. I took it back and the guy had no idea what was wrong. I cannot afford to keep it in the shop so I with a friend are going to do the work. But the main issue with the bike is, all the motor oil is leaking into the primary. when the shop opened up the derby cover, he said there was over 4 quarts of oil in the primary itself. and the dip stick is dry on the motor side. Where should I start? or what could be the issue. I have all the tools needed for the job. I just need to know where to start or what to look for. Thank you all for your time, I will post updates as I learn more and figure out whats going on

The problem you're describing is a symptom of a crank seal leak but you stated the shop replaced that seal. Maybe they installed it backwards ? That seal needs to be installed oil side in, the same as an inner primary bearing seal. They appear backwards when installed correctly ! I would double check that seal install.
Also the oil pump creates a vacuum inside the crankcase to evacuate the engine oil back towards the oil pan. If the vacuum is disrupted somehow the case oil can get past the crank seal and into the primary.
Another place engine oil can get into the primary is the stator harness retainer screws. That plastic piece that screws to the inner case and holds the stator wiring in place. Those screw holes go thru into the crankcase.

Great. If the crankcase has vacuum there should be no engine oil transfer from the crankcase into the primary cover unless the primary isn't vented or the previous issues haven't been resolved.
Anyways keep us in the discussion, I'm in and interested I have your thread flagged !
