No
No, but you can bore your cylinders to 98", and with a cam for your intended riding, and matched with a good set of heads, most 103"s will be in your rear view mirror.does anyone know if you can successfully swap a motor out of a 04 softail from 88 to a new 103 motor with same transmission an all the drive componnents?
thanks alot
If you are talking about taking the whole drive train from say a 2010 and installing it into an 88. I suspect that it can be done.. The frame on an 07 heritage is the same as an 00 so moving the whole drive train should work.. I'd expect that you can't swap just the motor tho. They changed a bunch of stuff in the primary, tranny and stater that I'd bet mating a later motor to the early stuff would be a bit of work.does anyone know if you can successfully swap a motor out of a 04 softail from 88 to a new 103 motor with same transmission an all the drive componnents?

In other words you don't know .If you are talking about taking the whole drive train from say a 2010 and installing it into an 88. I suspect that it can be done.. Well with the 00 and o7 (96ci) frame being the same and the 103 / 96 is then same form factor as the outside dimensions did not change. I'd say yes as long as the whole drivetrain is replaced.. I do know that the later motor won't work with an early tranny/primary. I've done things like take a whole 03 bagger motor primary, tranny and dropped it into an after market EVO FXR frame.. Some stuff needed cut here and there but it fit.. Seen the same done to a evo bagger.. I do know that you can use the lectric off the 00 on an 07 motor except that a later ignition module (2002? but a DTT would be the say to go) will be be needed as the 07 does not have a cam sensor. In other words you don't know .

It's not a novice swap over.
You would need the later wiring harness.. Also in something like 2003-6 they started using the serial buss to send the speedo and indicator signals up to the speedo.. it might have to change.. Best to stay carbed. You would probably have to use the ECM off the 103. So, that means you need the TSM/TSSM from that model of the bike along with every other electronic sensor design for the associated ECM.
You could probably trade the bike for a later model for half the price it would cost to do it.
Swapping a new 103 will not work, but swapping an 2005-06 screaming eagle 103 would work.does anyone know if you can successfully swap a motor out of a 04 softail from 88 to a new 103 motor with same transmission an all the drive componnents?
thanks alot
You may wanna flip that rear wheel around 😂😂😂. You probably should of waited till this thing was rideable. Just saying it would of helped your credibility cause at this point you ant exactly done what they say can’t be done loldoing what they say can't be done !

A good rule of thumb is. “If you have to ask. Then you probably can’t”. Someone could tho. Would it be worth it after you got the bill tho?Can a 103 motor and trans bolt up on 02 frame road glide
A big bore 88" yields 95". To go 103" needs the bigger crank.Just get a big bore kit and be done with it and go riding.
