Generally (and they're all different) the larger diameter will have a bit deeper tone with a little softer pulse.
Muffler diameter size?
Looking to replace my 3.5 inch Python slip on mufflers. I am wondering, is there any advantage to a 4 inch, or 3 inch diameter muffler? Would a 3 inch sound much different? Would it give more low end and less top end? Would a 4 inch give me less low end more top end? Thanks in advance.

A baffle change is all that's needed for sound quality and performance.
