Noticed when bike is warm after 50 mile stretch on the freeway I get this clattering noise down near the primary. I was going 55-60 in 6th gear with cruise on. It does go away if I pull the clutch in.
The bike has 6500 miles on it and is a 2012 limited.

Where should I start.:eek

I'd pull the derby cover check clutch basket and fluid level and check drain plug for junk.
worst case you might have to pull the primary cover and do some inspection on chain tensioner and stator nut

Check the main shaft bearing behind the clutch basket those do go bad but rarely hear of em going bad at 6500 mi and check the auto chain tensioner they are crap in my opinion.

Sorry, I failed to mention that the noise is not always there. I have only noticed it twice in 600 miles but both time the same senario.

The comp sprocket on your bike doesn't have a nut, it's got a bolt. Not prone to loosening up like the nut was.

Quit lugging the bike. AT 50-60 mph you should be in 5th gear....
This...I don't generally shift to 6th gear until about 70mph...
