Hello I just bought a 2003 883C with 927 miles on it.I joined this forum to find out why the valve train makes as much noise as my 73 Shovel. Im also need to up grade the cvcarb cause it pops a lot till it warms up and still does it every so often when warmed up

2003 with less than a grand on the clock? Wow! Did you punch the mother effer who let that beauty sit for so many years? :laugh

A but more info...what air cleaner and exhaust do you have on her? Has the fuel mixture been messed with at all?

Welcome aboard.

Welcome from VA.

Hopefully it's as simple as cleaning the carb. With that low of miles the bike was parked more than ridden. If the previous owner didn't mind it, gas may have gummed it up.

Congrats on the bike, sounds like it was neglected quite a bit so you might have some cobwebs to clean out among other things.
