I have a 09 Heritage Classic & would like to liven up the exhaust note. I was looking at the Screaming Eagle slip on mufflers to get a better rumble, not necessarily a loud bike. Any thoughts as how this would work. Also, is it a big job to change the mufflers?

I placed the same muffs on my 07' Fatboy and only took about an hour total..... I wanted the same thing, just a little more sound without pissing of my neighbors, so far so good.

It's been said a million times, the new bikes run HOT, maybe TOO HOT.
If you ease up on exhaust restriction without changing the fuel curve,
IT WILL RUN EVEN HOTTER.

By "hot" he means "lean" - the root cause of the heat. If you have EI, get the dealer or some MIT grad to remap.
