I am new to this forum and would like to get a little help. I would like to know if it is possible for an evo motor to get out of time internally on it's own. I have checked the ignition timing, the spark and the fuel and have no response of any type from the motor. Before it stopped running it was backfiring through the pipes. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!

What ignition system do you have?

Is the battery good? Have you check the charging system... They tend to act that way as you drain the battery and ignition doesn't have enough voltage

it has a new battery and has a dynatek dyna s ignition
Have you measured voltage and done a charging system test?
Even if it is new it may not be properly charging on the bike.

Not an expert by any means, but it is something to look at. Possibly a bad VR. Only testing can really tell.

Another thing to check, make sure you have a good ground on your ignition system.
