hello everyone. I have a 14 steet glide special. I'm wanting to put new exhaust on my bike. According to the dealership I was told would have to install a tuner or upgrade to stage 1 download. Was curious if this is true or are they blowing smoke again Was wanting to install Vance and Hines pipes that run down the passenger side and curl down ward any advice will b greatly appreciated

Only if you add a heavy breather as well.

If you just add the pipes then you wouldn't need it.

I would add the V&H fp3 tuner. Then you will be ready for any further mods you do.

I added one to my 2014 Ultra Limited and it runs awesome!

Since the factory settings are EPA friendly lean, a tuner is a good idea even with no mods to get the bike to run the way it is designed to. Buy a tuner once by thinking of what future mods you might do and get a tuner that will work with them, as some will only go far enough to handle the intake and exhaust change and maybe a small cam change.
