Hey all! I'm a previous harley owner and looking at getting a new one. Only thing standing in my way is the wife. I'm really hoping that I can convince her that a bike will be great for our marriage. Looking at a Low Rider however if the Night Train came back I'd be all over it, those are hard to find for me apparently. Really want to do an Ohio to west coast ride in my life and of course all through Tennessee.

Buy first, ask for forgiveness after....simple math
I got lucky. My wife has encouraged me for over 20 years to get my 5th bike. . . . I finally listened year before last. (well wait, I ordered a new deuce in 03, but had to use the funds when we moved my office) It took 9 years to re-arrange assets and get my Heritage.

AND I'M SUPER GLAD I GOT IT
Good luck... Welcome from eden nc

Welcome to the forum from Virginia. Plenty of good folks and good information here.

Yeah , Right !
Why can't that be the case.
My wife has learned to treat these kinds of explanations with a lot of salt...

Anyway, get the bike and ride - she'll notice the difference in you and realize how happy you are after just a little bit.
Welcome from Kansas.

Good for the marriage! :think
Talked with the wife tonight and she is all kinds of against me getting a bike. Her only argument was that we have 2 kids. I'm just wondering if there's a single person out there in the world that has kids and can still find time to ride. I thought it was a pretty lame excuse and I might find myself going to a dealer tomorrow.
Welcome hope you find the one your looking for soon

We create our own obligations in life. Kids are #1 above all else IMO. She may be worried about you not being around for her and the kids. If you fulfill your obligations to your children and your wife and maybe wait for the bike the purchase will be all the sweeter.
I have wanted a Harley since I was 18 years old. At age 62 I bought my first. It was very sweet indeed. :)
Not saying you should wait till you're 62, just think you should make sure your children are provided for. If so, go for it.
Life is too short, make the best of it while you are able to .:)
