Have a part that came off will comp sproket nut and rotor and I do not remember how it fits back in. Look thru service manual an watched 10 tubes on changing stator and can not find mention of the part.

It goes in the engine case. That part covers the roller bearing that you can see in the center of your stator. (in the 2nd picture that you posted.)

Look again at the expanded view in the Ronnie's link that candy posted.. Scroll down to see the relationship of the parts in the lower view.. The parts in your hand are items 24,30 & 26 in the expanded view. Scroll further down to read the description of each part by item number.
Hope this helps to clarify things for you..

#24 looks like it is still in the case holding the set of bearings in.
The spacer has wear marks , that side goes against the bearings.
A new oil seal should be use when reassembling.

When looking at the seal, is the flat side outward or towards the case? Sorry to be a pain but I want to ride this weekend and I am old, not much ridin left in me. Lol
