Just bought an 09 Street Glide, so glad I went with the 09. Rides great. Well the bike came with V&H big radius. And call me crazy but it had to go. To dam loud, I mean loud! and a bagger just needs to have duels coming out the rear.

I elected to go with a stock exhaust :think:think what was I thinking? It's dam awful sounds like a sewing machine!

Should I go with just a pair of slip on's or a full system. Either way I'll have to change out the air filter and add fuel management (PC or fuel pack), right?

Looking at Monster Oval's reading some good stuff on here about them.

I just bought an 2011, it had stock exhaust, but I just ordered V&H power duals with Hi Out put slip ons.
Where did you buy them? Seems like some good deals with V&H on Ebay and Dennis Kirk too. What did you go with for a air filter and fuel management?

Thanks

Love the sound of the Rush mufflers.

I installed Vance & Hines True Duals with V&H High Out-put slip-ons this winter. Absolutely love them. Great Look and Great Sound. I will post a better picture as soon as we can get some decent weather to roll her outside.
COTT...DAMM!! Look at those freakin' Baloney Packs!!! Did they come with a case o' mayonaise?

:rollin:rollin

In all honesty, they look bad ass!! Beautiful!!

I can affirm how special the Monster Ovals are . They are pricey as slip-ons go, but one can see, hear, and feel why they are so. And I like that stock header mid-range, plus, the '09's didn't have the cat in the header.

I have Monster Rounds, love them.

I just put on V&H Power Duals, Heavy Breather, SERT, and already had on V&H twin slash rounds, sounds great and not too loud, or maybe I'm hard of hearing.

your 09 head pipes dont have the cat in them so thats a plus. you could keep them and add what ever slip ons you want. im running decatted head pipe on my 11 with SE 4" slip ons. sounds good not overly loud but a nice deep rumble.small sound clip taken with my iphone.

Thanks for the help, pictures and feedback everybody. This site is great for gathering information and doing research.

Here's my decision.

Got a great deal on a pair of used Monster Ovals ($450) and Dresser duals, new in the box ($250). The guy selling the dresser's had started up an internet business and was barely breaking even so they had to fold and he was left with a bunch of different pipes that he's now selling on Craig's List. I would have preferred to get them in black, and the Ovals with Black and chrome tips. But I just can't pass on the price.

Next purchase will be a K&N Aircharger. Then another decision a PC5 or V&H fuel pack? Fuel pack seems easier to program.

Any thoughts?

I see you put the led accessory brake light on your bike. I did the same on my SG 2012.

I think it's a finishing touch!

Your bike looks wonderful.

I have a Stage one air filter with V&H Monster Ovals. The Monster Oval have a great deep sound with without rattling the fillings out of your teeth.

Happy Riding.
