Newb Slipon Questions

I have a 2014 Custom 1200 C and the stock exhaust are just plain boring!!

If I buy a set of slipons is there anything else I need to do as far as having to add a fuel pack or what ever is required?

This is a fuel injected engine so I have no clue what all the steps are to take.

I just want to go the easiest route and get a better sound.
Another thing I am concerned about is that here TX we have to pass a state inspection so if changing the stock exhaust is that going to make it fail the inspection by just adding slipons?

Anyway and info would be greatly appreciated in where to start.

Rule of thumb... one change, nothing else is needed... two changes.. get a tuner

Change only the air cleaner... fine as is...

Change only the exhaust... fine as is...

Change the air cleaner and the exhaust... get a tuner...

But my suggestion... get a tuner even if you leave it stock. They seem to need one due to the MOCO settings to pass EPA requirements.
Rule of thumb...
Or....go to the "fuel" or "exhaust" section and search, as there's countless threads on this issue.

Just sayin.

As for State Inspection, it varies on your state as to whether or not pipes that are louder than stock are legal, exceed the state required dB levels, or if the inspection station even cares and enforces it, rather leaves it to the local po-po.

If all you're doing is a pipe swap, that's easiest enough to correct once a year, 20 minutes a shot, at inspection time.
Thanks for the info guys. I am thinking about getting some V&H slipons and maybe the FP3 just to have in the even I start making other changes.
Do a little more reading on that FP3, I was thinking of going that route for further mods. Apparently it's only good for stage 1, just something to consider

Pretty sure the autotunes feature would make it suitable for whatever stage you want to run..
