NGK MR8L-9 spark plug 107 Sport Glide

Hi folks,
Just a question as to whether anyone has an answer to why my 2022 M.Y. 107 Sport Glide would have had NGK MR8L-9 plugs fitted from new and not the OEM 6R10 Champion ones, I can't even find them for sale anywhere, I know they are assembled in a land far far away but surely they should still be fitting Harley plugs. I have now fitted OEM ones. Any help appreciated .

The NGK are a direct replacement for the OEM H-D plugs. They function well with the Ion sense coil signal.

Thanks for the reply, I can't seem to be able to find them on sale anywhere and can't find any mention of them being a part that is used from new? Just wondered why they would be installed from new?

The ngk equivalent of the OEM according to the cross ref is a CR9EB so what the h#ll this is I have no idea, I was hoping someone could help to provide some kind of insight of what happens in the Thai factory! even the stealership I bought it from had no idea!
I guess it's a mystery firmly locked in Area 51

I thought the Pan AM, Sportster and Nightster were the only Harleys built in Thailand.

I think HD prefer the terminology "assembled" rather than "built" but yes alas my Sport Glide was assembled in Thailand... but if anyone can solve the riddle of the above spark plug I would love to know, surely there must be someone who knows?
