Being an idiot and new bike owner (06 883), I put gas stableizer in and let the bike run. Granddaughter fell and I went to stop the bleeding. Bike idled for about 20 minutes and when I came back the oil light was (and is still) on. I checked the oil res and it is full.
Am I in trouble? Would I be able to drive to a repair shop or need to trailer?

Eh, possibly your motor was super hot and the oil passed its parameters maybe when it cools of you might get a reading think I'd change the oil though at the very least. Synthetic would hold up better,I think.

Maybe a silly question, is the oil light on when it is running?
When you came back to see the light on, had the bike died?

If so, I think you overheated it, and it died.
Being dead made the oil light come on.

Any time the ignition is on, and oil pressure is not up, the oil light is on.
