One headlight dim on a Fat Bob

Just noticed a week ago that one of my headlights is dim. I was running aftermarket (brighter) bulbs for the last 3000 miles with no issue until recently. Swapped out the bulbs with some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs and have the same issue. Tried to take it out after the swap and the red warning light (electrical fault I think) in the speedo wouldn't go out.

Haven't checked fuses yet, but as there is only three of them and I have no other apparent electrical problems, I don't think that's it. Anyone else have a similar issue? Can the Fat Bob handle the heat of high output bulbs without frying the connectors/wiring?

Check the connection at the light. Occasionally heat will cause the connector to weaken and the resulting loose connection increases resistance to the affected lamp making it appear dimmer than the other(s). Also look for corrosion at the connectors. You can increase the connector tension with a pair of needle nose pliers, but be careful not to overdo it. Also check the connection of the wire at the connector.

Cool, I'll take a look. Thanks
