New guy from PA here, just got out of the army after 4 years. Moved back home and now looking into a bike. I've always had atvs or dirt bikes and done lots of wrenching on them and gas and diesel vehicles. Right now I'm looking at getting a 76 XLH 1000. Been reading up a lot on the Internet and from y'all on here. Anyone with pointers on 76s would be a great help.

Welcome from north Texas, thanks for your service!
I owned a '76 Sporty in the mid 80s. Like a lot of these things, it's a preference thing.
HOWEVER, any bike that old will require more TLC than one from THIS century!!!
(just sayin')

Thanks for your service. If you plan on riding, I wouldn't do it, if your plans are for wrenching...perfect. Welcome from New Hampshire
