Funny how many people equate Democrats with a kinder gentler society and Republicans as hard and mean.

Democrats WERE the party of the KKK, many prominent Democrats of the day were Klansmen

The Republican party was born to fight slavery. The NRA was born to guarantee blacks the right to guns

to defend themselves, from Democrats.

People think the Dem/Libs support of "Women's Rights" especially abortions, is so supportive, so liberated,

when in fact it was born of the motivation to suppress and control the birth rate of "inferior" races.

“More children from the fit, less from the unfit — that is the chief issue of birth control,” wrote Margaret Sanger.

Margaret Sanger, whose American Birth Control League became Planned Parenthood, was the founding mother of the birth-control movement. She is today considered a liberal saint, a founder of modern feminism, and one of the leading lights of the Progressive pantheon. Gloria Feldt of Planned Parenthood proclaims, “I stand by Margaret Sanger’s side,” leading “the organization that carries on Sanger’s legacy.”
This is a good read, and will make you think. You might not like what it makes you think.

Contraception, abortion, and the eugenics movement.

That's great if you went to college during the sexual revolution.....

Going to college when the public started hearing about AIDS and other STDs that a penicillin shot can't cure... not so much....

We got short changed! :mad

Kainam, things were relatively grim before 1965, but the dam sure did burst after that.

There was a time when "Wallace Democrats" would not even enter the same room as "Kennedy Democrats" and I think the Republican Party is going through a similar internal upheaval.

Today's Republican Party is not the same Republican Party of Lincoln, anyone who thinks it is, is fooling themselves.

Conservatism is a good thing, extremism is not.

When a Republican candidate has to become so extreme to one persuasion that he cannot get elected, we end up with what we got now.

GOP means "Guardians Of Privilege"

Doesn't matter much where they came from historically, today the GOP is mostly old, rich white men. The good news is, they're dying off.

The bad news is, the Democrats are pretty stinkin' screwed up too.

Some of that big/old money in the hands of power are Dems, just for the record. You got, for example, the Kennedys, Kerry/Heintz, hell, even old Soros favors the Dems.

I'm certainly not old, and I'm certainly not rich...

Today, the GOP is the only party that has a track record of supporting the 2A.

The Libtards sure haven't gotten it right for as long as I can remember.

And I certainly don't need to be lorded over, nor do I need to be controlled, supervised, or "taken care of", and you know which party it is that is all to eager to do all of the above.

I'm guessing you don't get out much Xero.

That's probably a really good idea.

Say what u want about the Dems, but Romney made a good living outsourcing American jobs and supports "free trade". Legal yes, but morally correct to help himself at the expense of tens of thousands of others? Also, if abortion were illegal we would go back in time to the days of back alley abortions. Not a good solution either.

I know it's over and done, no sense in refighting the election, but the thing that bothered me about Romney was, if he were so concerned with jobs in America, what was he doing in China shopping for a small appliance factory ?

We can't make small appliances here at home ?

If nobody owns a small Chinese appliance factory, how the hell is China's government going to keep financing Obama's loans? :think
