Piston clip ring?

I just installed my Fuel Moto 107" big bore kit and after I finished and broke it all in (about 100miles now, runs awesome!) I thought I would go back thru the manual and read thru what I just did.

When I got to adding the clips to hold the piston in place (2 on each side) manual said after installing rotate clip 180degrees so the gap is facing away from the cut away......ummm I don't think I did that! I know the clips were tight and locked in good, but not rotated!

I can't see it coming undone, but now I'm nervous that I just made a huge mistake and it will work its way loose?? Is this a big deal?

Should I tear ALL the way back down to the piston and just spin them or leave them?

No.....its a precaution to prevent the "possibility" of an uneven load and the possibility of one coming out.

Granted.....if one comes out, it'll cost you a piston, rings and a cylinder. You probably have a better chance of seeing Jesus (Gee-sus.....not Hay-zoos) working the drive through window at Taco Bell......
