Hi, I would like to know how many 1987 Electraglide Classics were produced with factory harley sidecar. Mine has only 2315 miles and I assume it's rare or am I wrong on this?? Thanks.

I thought the sidecar was a factory OPTION. You could order it, but it wasn't a production line of bikes that was specifically offered, WITH a sidecar.....

I could be wrong.

Thanks Dave. Actually the vin reflects that it's a production harley with sidecar, made specifically with the sidecar at production. The DE in the bike's vin # means: "FLHTC w/ Sidecar ". Appreciate the reply.

You are correct... http://www.harley-performance.com/harley-vin.html

FLHTC w/side car is designated with "DE".

My suggestion would be to contact HD and ask. I looked around, but every time I ask for "Production Numbers" i keep getting explanations of the VIN.
