Long story short, my 2009 softail custom that came in the Blue/Black ice color combination was involved in an accident. I ordered all three painted pieces (front fender, rear fender, and the fuel tank) and after receiving and installing the front and rear fenders, I am told that Harley has now discontinued this color, so I will not be receiving a new painted tank. I have found the paint codes through ppg but i need to know if there is there anyone out there that has successfuly painted using this color and knows the technique to match it Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have went ahead and ordered a primered tank and will need to get it painted up. Thanks guys!

I have not painted it myself, but the way the MoCo did it was Vivid Black base, with the Black Ice and Blue Ice over the Vivid Black base.

A friend has that same bike with 174 hp motor, but his painter had problems getting the Blue Ice to match.
