I took the old pads off. I had to pry them off a spring clip, and now I can't for the life of me get them to clip back on. Manual says to put pad pins in the inside pad until they snap into place, and they do, but when I pull the pins to put the outside pad on, the inside pad drops out. Aren't they supposed to clip on? How?

Kelsey Hayes brake calipers. Shouldn't of had to pry anything out. Install the outside pad first and push the pins in part way then install the inside pad and push the pins in the rest of the way then screw the pins in tight.
That spring clip is an anti-rattle spring, the pads don't attach to it.
