Did you try to swap the wires like the others suggested? Or just gave in?

I checked the wires. That wasn't the problem. I'm still working on replacing the ICM or ECM and wiring harness. Hopefully I won't need to buy any more parts to get back on the road but I'm not holding my breath.

Bottom line is the bike won't start. The timing appears to be off because it backfired through the carburetor and caught on fire momentarily. At this point I'm just going to wait until I get the new ECM and go from there but I appreciate the input I've gotten here. Thank you.
Check the CKP sensor. Measure resistance across the 2 pins, should be 1000 ohms +or- 3%.
