REUNION IV

It was voted on, and We’ll be back at the Nod, 1st Saturday in June - 6/3/2023 - for REUNION IV
12 Rooms have been blocked with a special rate TBD.
Some will arrive on Thursday 1st; some will arrive Friday 2nd

Call for reservations, referencing the REUNION
Land ‘O Nod
Eureka springs, AR 72632
(479) 253-6262
www.landonodinn.com

The Nod has a free continental breakfast or there are plenty of place to eat, all within walking distances. Rockin’ Pig Steak House, BBQ and beer/liquor stores all within walking distances.
Hmmm, Bacon at the Filling Station

Plenty of good riding in the area, and as usual, there will NOT be a group ride on Saturday.

We will discuss the location for REUNION V. Come with some suggestions.

Yeppers! The same rules apply here in Calli's twisties. We have steep grades on the mountain roads. Even the desert roads weave and bobble between the washes and hills.
IDK if you guys ever view the Relive links that i post. But that does a fair job of showing the curves. Although, it is not replayed at actual speed. We have some good twisties! Just sayin'

Heck CA-74 Ortega Highway is right in my backyard. Roy can attest to this. The only straight part is through town and again for a short stretch going through the campground and village at the top. (referring to the section between I-5 and I-15. Long winding curves down on the west (I-15) side. This side is Z's n W's.

Rim of the World is both Lisa and my favorite! It runs along the rim of the mountain then drops into the lakes area. Eventually winding up at Big Bear Lake from I-15.

That's about all this state is good for! Ca does treat the bikes well. (y)
Except for the exhaust and noise regulations.

That said, i gladly give up the loud exhaust for the ability to split lanes!
That's a lifesaver on a crowded freeway!

i run my ultras with wide open cans. i love the sound. on one trip i stayed with my cousin up on 20th street in frisco and ran around down town a bunch. in five trips to cali coming in at semi valley and heading out at sacramento i was never stopped for noise. the kansas tag might have been the reason. i agree cali is a very mc friendly state. cept for the price of gas.

I ran 1-3/4" drags when I lived in the LA area.
Cops never messed with me over it.

Well, when Kommiefornia mandates Electric in the near future it will be much quieter.

Some time ago! Can't even buy em here now.
None of the manufactures or suppliers will ship aftermarket exhaust to cali now.

I'm seriously considering ordering pipes and having them shipped to my sons house. Then take a ride there to "fix" the bike. I have been holding off because my buddy has the chrome pipes that I want. He keeps hinting about buying new black ones, to change the look of his bike. If he really wants to go with this idea, we make make it a group ride to my sons place! There are way around Numbnutz's socialism. At least some!

I got jerked around by the PO when i bought my bike. My fault for not doing a better inspection...
But when i agreed to purchase the bike it had Reinhardt X full exhaust on it. When i picked up the bike 2 weeks later, it had the stock exhaust. Dummy me, Didn't notice!

scotty, you can strip the stock cans out, cut the fugly angle cut off the rear of them and install stainless extensions with rolled ends from jeggs. that is what i did to my 17. :p they have that old school sound low rumble, not obnoxious at all.

Careful about what Tommy says about speeds in corners, or speeds in general, I still remember that Saturday ride a couple years ago at the Reunion when the 3 of us went for a ride, I picked my passing moments just a little different than you did that day! But, it was a fun day and we thinned out the chicken stripes on our bikes!

Man, it's still only almost March. Three months to go is a long time.

I'm still debating how to get in. Last year I left on Wednesday and stayed in Little Rock then took the Pig Trail in on Thursday. Currently, I'm thinking about taking 65 in and going all the way to Harrison on Wednesday so I can be there to ride in with everyone to Twin Peaks if you guys are meeting at the hotel first. Last year I was pulling into the Conoco for gas as everyone was headed off. Plus, gives me a different way of coming in. I've taken 64/65 before headed out and it's pretty scenic in parts too, between Harrison and Conway, if I am remembering right.

Just talked with the Mrs about this... She's for sure entertaining the idea! (showed her the video that @Kainam posted, that helped to motivate her. (y))
I just looked on the map, it's 2 1/2 hours from my Daughters home in Clarksville!
The Reunion starts on June 3rd and goes till??

Gotta be back here before June 24th. (Her brother's 2nd wedding)
3 days travel each way @ 533 miles per day, doable??
yes scotty it officially stars on friday and goes till sunday. most arrive on friday and leave on sunday. we always go down on thursday which you can do with us and leave saturday or sunday, whatever fits with your plans. if you overnight and ride down with us you would need to arrive here at the cabin on wednesday or earlier. again whatever fits your schedule. i will leave on sunday so will be home sunday evening if you have time to stop and rest overnight or more on your return trip of course you are welcome. sounds great. we hope you can fit us in to your plan! :)

kyle, we meet up with the texas guys at twin peaks in rogers on the way in. then we ride on to the nod after lunch. meet time, i think, was noon last year if it's ok with texas guys 1:00 might be better for others coming in like you and harvey. plenty of time to decide before then.

Whatever time works for you guys really.

I could just stay somewhere like (whatever is west of Ozark off of I-40) and roll directly to Twin Peaks instead of the hotel first. Not like I'd be checking in at noon anyway, and I don't eat breakfast, so there's no need to wait up for me.

Rogers also has a Torchy's Taco. Me and Mack went there on our return trip last year.

Good food, but the scenery isn't as nice as Twin Peaks. 1 taco and maybe a side will do ya.

Yeah, there's some cheap chain hotels (good likelihood of night auditor for late-night check-in) off-interstate right at I-40/I-49, just an hour south of TP, about same amount of time to get from my house to Alma as it is to get to Harrison too.

And with checkouts usually around 11:00, plenty of time to be in Rogers by noon.
