Crank breathes into atmosphere.
After a fresh build with 200 miles on motor pistons are covered in oil.
Valve guides and seals are good.
Compression test was 200-203 front and rear.Leakdown was 6%rear and 4% front .Yes,rings facing as they should and ring gaps where they should.Sent heads and cylinders back to shop that did work to get them checked out.
Correct me if I'm wrong,but there are only three ways oil can reach combustion chamber.Valve guides, seals,and piston rings?Here are a few pics Keep in mind,pistons are anodized black.

As wet as those pistons are the compression test reading will be high. Is that a new build? how many miles and what kind of oil? Sometimes rings can't seal or break-in to cylinder wall with synthetic oils. some of better engine companies recomend Dino oil until 10,000 miles after well broken in.

New build with around 200 miles.
