Has anyone done the rocker lockers with good results or not.

There a great think. I used them on a 103 and it really quieted things down, easy install also.
Which way did you install yours the Quick way or the long way? Guy on YouTube just put one sleeve in at time while on bike and others took
The rocker off the bike but they replaced the oil breathers .
I did it the only correct way, rocker off the bike! Easy to crush them if the shaft is not exactly aligned!

I installed them when I did the engine work on my Evo. Install was easy, can't say how well they work though, as I didn't have noise from there to begin with.

All the rocker lockers do, is prevent the shaft that the rocker arms are on from rotating and banging on the mount bolt. If you have noise from the rocker shaft banging on the mount bolt, you'll notice it will be quiet. If your shafts aren't banging, you probably won't notice any difference.

That said, they're not a bad thing to install, absolutely will not hurt anything, and it's not hard to do. They're also not terribly expensive. Another good thing about having them is if you do develop valve train noise, that's one less possibility of where the noise could be coming from.

The only down side is that you have to pull them out to pull the shaft if you ever need new rocker arms, or if your rocker endplay gets to be too much, etc. But how often do you really need to change the rocker arms or have to pull those shafts out?

I had them in my old motor and will put them in this one when I take the heads off for porting.
I got all the gaskets,1/2 ,7/16 dog bones ,rocker lockers , low profile oil breathers assemblies and now find the time to do it mid 50 temps next week for me to ride her.
i just turn off my hearing aids when i ride. :p

I started on taking rocker covers off yesterday and i got the rocker plates off and the pins to put lockers in so i blew air through the rocker arms push rod seat hole well very little air,oil came out one of them WTH so i took it back out to push wire in the holes which opened it up so all this time no sufficient oil on top of valve spring.
Does this mean the rocker noise was from a lack of lubrication is all ?

Possible. and the shafts was pretty snug in the arms I had to tap them out and very very small line on the the bolts that locks pins in .

But I still had to do it for the lower rocker gasket leaking. I will update when I start her up

SUCESS …no gasket leaks and it’s a very slim quieter BUT That obstruction in the rocker arm got cleaned out and it’s flowing now . Glad I put the rocker locks in and I think I’ll leave the heat deflectors off for the winter to get heat in the thighs.
