Hi I have a set of straight through drag pipes on my 1997 883, I have fitted a set of thunder torques I'm sure the mixture screw is about 3 1/2 or 4 turns out, do you think it still needs to be richer, I do do get some spitting back through the carb if I blip the throttle on some down changes, this is the rear plug,m before i rejetted the slow jet to a 45 from 42, the plugs where grey, do I need to up the slow jet again ?

If the slow screw is turned out that far there's probably an intake air leak causing a lean condition. That slow screw should only be turned out 1½ - 2 turns out. Spit back out of the carb is a symptom for leaking seals.
