Can someone explain to me the difference in baffle length and the sound you will get from each? On the Big Louie, I see the length of the baffle from 2.00" to 3.00". Will the 3" be louder?
Thanks

I believe you mean diameter when you say 2" or 3" inch, and the 2" will sound louder. The bigger the baffle usually sounds a bit throatier. I had 3.5 inch Rineharts with 2" baffles and they sounded good but a little ratty for me. Went to 4" Bassini's with 2.5" baffles and now have the sound I like still loud when I get on it and a nice clean throaty sound at idle and cruise.

Thank you
I have both 2.5 and 3.00. The 3.00 are a tad louder but do have nice rumble. The 2.5 were a tad too restrictive and the bike ran crazy hot. The 3.0 solved that and the downshift popping for me. Everything is stock but pipes.

Yup the bigger the baffle, the bigger hole through the muffler, the louder the pipe and the deeper the tone. I got Full Boar mufflers with 2.5in baffles. The bike has a very very low growl. You can feel it in your chest.

All stock and you ran hot with 2.5" baffles??? what bike? what head pipe are you running?
14 glide. When I got the pipes dude from rush said go with the 3" as the bike is tuned so lean the 3" is a better fit on the 14's. Of course found best price online they came with 2.5. When I put on, the engine cut out deal would kick in all the time. Pipes got so hot the end caps turned from black to an orange. Almost matched the bike.

So I figured I'd do as I was told by the mfg and I put the 3" in. Sounds better, runs better. Now the back jugs only cut out when in traffic for a bit standing still. Once cash frees up will do stage one. I have a power vision I need to order unlock key for but may go vh fp3. Headers are stock I may end up going with fuel moto.
