I have the v111 in my FXR and I was looking to change the cam to a Woods W6H or W8. I don’t want to increase compression. It’s at 9.8:1 out of the box. I wanted to hopefully get a little more out of it and move the power earlier in the RPM range.

Anyone have Pros/Cons to each one and which would be essentially a drop in

The Woods W6H really likes a minimum 10 to 10.2:1 compression. Can't say what the W8 likes. I'm actually not sure what determines that, how aggressive the ramps are or the lift or what, but there's some experienced engine builders on here that can chime in with better recommendations.

But I can say to skip the W6H if you don't want to bump up the compression ratio.

That said, if you are willing to bring the comp ratio up, the W6H is a fun cam, I have it in my 80" Evo.
