hello friends,

I am new at forum and i would like to ask you something.
First i will tell you my problem.
I have a '96 heritage softail classic with screamin eagle II exhaust.
Last winter i have changed the exhaust system from right side to both sides like heritage springer with oem slip ons (fishtail).
Before two months i have bought a pair of screamin eagle mufflers street performance from ebay.
But i am not happy with the sound. I want them to sound like the old screamin eagle.
What should i do in order to have the same sound like screamin eagle II mufflers.
Can i modify the baffles?(the baffles are removable)
Do you have any picture or anything else to help me modify the baffles?

You can remove the 3 screws on the end of the tube and pull out the baffle (it may be difficult to pull ,use plenty of penatrant oil ) . The baffle is wrapped with matting (like fiberglass) ,unwrap the baffle and reinsert and see how it sounds. Should be a little louder. That's about all you can do without cutting and grinding and totally guessing and maybe ruining a good set of mufflers. Good Luck

Cutting the baffle a bit shorter will make it sound healther too...

I did unwrap and reinserted the baffle but nothing good.
