so im chaging my cams and didn't realize the secondary chain has to stay in same direction and I didn't mark it.there is one black link,which way does that face ? or how big of an issue is this gonna be with 24k miles?

Regards your secondary cam chain, as you are changing cams anyway it is unlikely to make a huge difference which way the chain orientation or link faces.
So although marking the chain is about longevity of associated parts, it's not critical in this instance. There may be a slight initial increase in wear on the chain tensioner shoe but if it's in good condition, then it'll be fine.

Don't stress over it too much & enjoy your cam upgrade ;o)
