I have a 2006 Fatboy with under 23,000 miles. I had changed out my headlight and front signals from bulbs to LED,s (plug and play) with no issues. Then changed out rear turn signals same LED's about a month later. On the first try the LED's would not work but putting the bulbs back in they worked. I contacted the seller on the issue and they gave the following explanation:
Harley was notorious for reversing wiring on rear lights on polarity. They told me to cut and splice switching the wires and try it then. I did and the LED's work fine and have the brightness I was looking for.

But now the security light stays on and it bothers me knowing it was never an issue. Basic research shows it a diagnostic issue giving me different topics & answers on how to properly correct it,
Any one else ever have this issue and corrected it?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Beto Mon

You need a load resistor to equal LED to old incandescent bulbs
