What are you going to be connecting via BT to?

I bought the Sena 50S about a month ago. I use it to connect via BT to my Android phone. If you ever think you will want to connect wirelessly to a HD infotainment system, wait for the HD branded version, or get the HD branded 20S. Skip the 30K version (HD branded version or not). Too many reported problems with the 30K. So far, I have not run into any problems with the 50S with my limited use.

I have the SENA Calvary 1/2 helmet and a Samsung Android S10+
It will not connect to the HD system.
It is is marginal for music at speeds above 50mph.
The intercom is useless above 50mph.

Pretty much a waste of money. Maybe a full face or ear buds would be better.

I had the same experience with a half helmet. 3/4 or full face much better.

Me and riding buddy made the mistake of getting the Sena SPH10H-FM for half helmet.
Works fine sitting still. Above 40 mph can't hear each other. Tried all the upgrades, different settings.
Sent back, got replacement, same problem
with hearing each other. Wind noise was overwhelming at riding speeds... Pulling in to parking lot
made conversation much easier.

I am new to this forum, and this is my first post.
My first ever Harley Davidson (2015 Road Kind Classic) will be delivered to my door in about a month or so, when the weather improves. I will absolutely do a proper introduction of myself in the correct thread later.

I found this thread while googling for a comparison between the Cardo Packtalk Bold and the Sena 50S. I have probably watched over ten reviews and comparison videos on Youtube in the last three days.

The main differences are imho:
Sena 50S has open mesh 2.0 which makes it possible to connect automatically to other riders using the Sena open mesh system. No installing or pressing buttons. Really easy. On the downside the set is water-resistant, so not waterproof. It definitely looks bigger on the helmet. And the mic makes a lot of wind noise in any kind of open helmet.
Cardo Packtalk Bold does not have the open mesh features of the Sena 50S, but does memorise the devices you already connected with through the mesh system. So only new devices need to be paired.
The system is waterproof, and, for some important, it apparently has a very good system for cancelling out wind noise when driving with an open type helmet.

I would love to hear the opinion of other (maybe more experienced) users.

Thx.
