How tuff is it to remove the front forks off my Street Glide. I just want to slide them out of triple tree's. Do I have to remove the big nut on the top of tube, or just loosen up the clamps. Can't find it on You Tube.

I am wanting to do the same. I think just loosen the nut on top then the pinch bolts on the trees and they should fall out. Do you know the torq specs for all those bolts and axle?
Go buy the service manual. It will be the best $60 you spend on your bike, I promise.

True true. Then you will have all the torque specs to reassemble.

Top bolts come out. Loosen the triple tree clamps. Slide right out.
You have to take the big but...which is the fork tube cap off, then loosen pinch bolts and they will slide right out... there shouldn't be any pressure on the fork caps.

Hats up bud haven't been on for awhile
Its pretty easy, tire off, fender off, big nut off, loosen clamps and slide right out...
Thanks. I'll give it a try. Putting a new wheel on & a set of pads. I'll have most of the front off anyways, so I'll pull the forks while I'm at it.
WHY are you pulling everything off?
Purchased Progressive Monotube kit. Might also want to lower it a bit with the new wheel. We'll see
