Softail Slim
I have a 2013 softail slim. I am just wondering is there anything i can do to help heat from being so hot on inner thigh! I have installed heat shield but its still extremely hot! Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Oil cooler helps all softtails. that damn oil bag under the seat gets no air flow.
Run it a little richer on the mixture.

My wife rides Softail Slim and had same problem. Major heat on her thigh from the oil tank. Caused by the narrow seat and short legs. Yes, exhaust, air cleaner and tune will make a slight difference, but I doubt it will be enough for your burnt thigh to notice. Hers had all this done from new.
We got a Captain Itch Crotch Cooler and no more problem. Her right leg still gets hot when sitting at lights, but that's from the exhaust.
Heres a pic of how it looks. Really suits the style of the bike I reckon.

We got a Captain Itch Crotch Cooler and no more problem. Her right leg still gets hot when sitting at lights, but that's from the exhaust.

I bought my 2013 softail slim June 12th....my right thigh has a burn on it from the heat...that has discolored my skin...and may not go away..... didnt know about the crotch coolers, but came up with the concept on my own and had an upholstery guy make one and I stapled it to my seat. It helped,,,but still burning myleg...I guess I will try the captain itch crotch cooler....and hope it is thick enough to do the trick....can't get injured everytime I ride my bike...any other short, softail slim owners out there have this product with good results??? Im at my wits end!!

Yes.
In the meanwhile, rotate your right leg/knee outward away from the bike. It channels more air up the leg which cools the burn. After you pull away a few blocks from the light, you will be able to bring your knee closer to the tank.

I have a buddy with a 2012 Softail Slim and it had similar problems when he first took delivery. First installation was an oil cooler that dropped the temp close to 20 degrees. Second was a tune up to 13.2 to 1 A/F mixture that dropped the head temps another 15 degrees. Made a big difference.
