On my 08 nightster, as i release the clutch slowly there's a slight clunk before the clutch is fully released. I hope someone can tell me if it may be a loose primary chain or something else. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ya I know But I notice the noise about 500mi. ago called the dealer claimed it is normal, doesn't do it all the time but often enough to question. It happens exactly like Bodyman said. Odd or normal? Doesn't happen constantly and the clutch friction point is about half way out as I release, so that appears to be OK.

My 07 with 14000 miles does the same thing but not all the time. Klunks when you shift and a second klunk when you let out the clutch. I just ignore the noisy thing. If it breaks, then I 'll fix it.

Well I feel little better what I thought strange is that I never noticed it earlier. Thanks
