Hi i am new to this site after buying my xl1200 sportster custom,i am looking to change the shocks the be more comfortable two up. Has anyone chaged to Hagon shocks,or can sugest any other.

Proggresive 412, or 440 series will do fine as well.

Roadking/Ultra air shocks work well too.

I'm sure they are very comfortable, but wouldn't they make the bike handle less "sporty", especially compared to progressives

Yes. They're better then OEMs, but cheaper used then Progressives.

If the rider is 250+ lbs, they're a good solution if all he has is a Sporty at the time, as well.

Makes sense. Guess you could get progressives for sport riding and throw the air shocks on when touring.

Do Progressive Shocks come on the sporty from the factory? I noticed mine have a sticker that says Progressive and was wondering. I just bought an 06 1200XL.
