OK, so I jumped on the Fat Boy today to go for a spin - I hadn't ridden it in a couple months due to our Colorado Springs' long winter and I had some problems with the VA that are almost resolved, but anyway -

As I accelerate from 2nd to 3rd and 4th, at anything above 3300 RPM, I can hear a squealing or squeaking noise coming from the rear right side, almost like it was coming from under the exhaust pipes. It sounds like the noise a rusty chain on a VW engine might sound like, but it's higher pitched. Any ideas? It doesn't make noise at idle or low RPM's so I can't listen for it when I'm sitting in the garage.

I'm ordering a Service Manual today so I can start doing most my own work, but if anyone has any clue as to where I might start looking, I would greatly appreciate it. The bike only has 3500 miles on it.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions/advice.

It's Memorial Day Weekend - please remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Could be your belt is loose or maybe the rubber exhaust hangers need some lube.
