I am new to Harleys rode goldwings since 1986 decided I wanted a Harley.kept my Goldwing for long rides. I keeping hearing about this stage 1 kit can anyone tell me what is involved. dealer want 2000.00 for kit sounds awful high
Well... That 2000 dollars includes quite a few hours of labor... If you are willing/ able to wrench at all you can save some money... And I did my stage 1 for around 1600... And some people will say that I played too much... I did the the labor my self
Harley ventilator( free flowing intake) used for 150
Rinehart slimline duals 950
Screaming eagle super tuner 450
And a download from the dealer 40 so my total was 1590
The only thing I needed the dealer for was to do the download
Did mine at the 5k service. Got a set of Rush slip ons on Ebay for $80 new and put them on myself. Got an Arlen Ness Big Sucker from J&P Cycles. Had them go ahead and install that and the tuner/download at service time, all for around $700 if I remember right. Total just under $800.
