Street glide vs street glide special

Hi, I have recently joined. I was getting a road king but, now switched gears. My decision is between the street glide or street glide special. The shocks are hydraulic on the special. Does this provide more adjustability options compared to the air shocks ? Anyone have any experience with these ? Thanks in advance, john

there are a number of very significant upgrades between the special and the std. Shocks is a good one.

These shocks on the Specials are the same shocks that are on the CVO models. They are quick to adjust by removing the left hand bag and then all you have to do is turn the adjustment knob to your liking.

Yes I said knob to your liking.
Yes I know it's an upgrade, but can you adjust the shocks for a better handling characteristics let's say on cornering and over bumpy roads.

Awesome. Nothing beats knob that is customized to my liking.
Any adjustment of the shocks affects handling. The SG Special stocks just makes that change much easier.

The SGS also has the upgraded Radio/Nav system.

I would suggest visit the HD website and use the compare feature to see the differences.
The special also comes with ABS brakes and security system. Better bang for the buck, IMO. The adjustable rear shocks are easy to use and has a very wide range so you can really fine tune them.

I nominate this as the new " best post ever"

Also should go in Chiefs quote of the day thread for posterity
