stuck turn signal

Hey guys, my right turn signal is stuck on. it will cancel out when i turn on the left one and then wont work any more. and when i shut off the bike and restart it the blinker is on.

Ive checked all the fuses and bulbs. i've got it down to the blinker switch or the relay.

My question is what would be more likely?
The bike is 2005 xl1200r.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Sounds like handle bar switch or connection. May have some dirt or corrosion in there. My 2 cents.
Thats what i was hoping. im gonna tear into the controls this weekend. I priced out the relay..$150...ouch!!!!!!
If the relay is anything like an automotive one. They either work or do not work. No in between.

Agree with SoftailBilly. The switch, housing area.
Not like an automotive. Electronic, programmable and multifunction.

Hope it's the switch.
Keeping my fingers crossed!!!
A service manual and Electrical book would come in handy right about now. :)
Turn signal module. I don't know your bike, or where it is on it. But that would be my guess.
OK men any one betting switch or module ? .....:stir:popcorn
I'm thinking pinched wires under the front master cylinder clamp. Especially if the bike has custom grips installed.

For the sake of Big Joesepy`s wallet, I`m hoping switch.

But with the symptoms described.......

I second that! If not under ms clamp, then somewhere. Symptoms support the diagnosis.

Electron leaks are a PIA. No drips on floor :what?

When we ran out of tests on vehicle for electron problems. It was sanctioned test by engineering called the "Wiggle Test" on the wires. Actually worked a few times. :what?:thumbsup
That's what the MoCo calls the electrical diagnostics, "Wiggle Tests" In the electrical service manuals.
I've been doing "Wiggle Tests" on Harleys for years !!!
