You need to reset the checkball in the pump and then replace with a new ball. You're also supposed to clean your oil tank about every 10k to prevent skank from getting from tank into pump and ball seat.

Those damm skanks always getting worn out. 
It must be one of those technical terms that Dave likes to use sometimes.
