Try ATF, your clutch will thank you for it .

Agreed. Dextron-III, NOT Type-F.

High detergent. Smooth clutch. Red, inexpensive goodness.

i tried that atf. clutch worked great , but i had heat problems with it. went back to moble1 20-50 vtwin Much better now, no heat issues. might be good in cooler areas of the country .

Why would ATF cause heat problems? Logically, the lower viscosity should help with heat, not be a cause.

I think he was talking about how hot it gets when riding in the south. I have noticed the same thing with the atf, it was great in the fall and winter but was not as smooth in the summer for me.
