Something on the video that was posted elsewhere about the new police Harleys intrigued me, the speedo where the tach used to be and a larger tach where the typical speedo goes. (On the Road King models) So two questions really: one, I know the general purpose of a tachometer but what's the one on the Harley for and more specifically a police bike? Second, can I get the 2014 set up on my 2004???? I LOVE the idea of the speedo in my line of sight and not having to look down.

Thanks!

In short, the 2004 and 2014 electronics are not compatible.

You can probably find aftermarket mounts for the speedo. Might not be full size though.
Finding a tach only the size of the speedo is likely another problem.

As far as a tach. Many prefer them to a speedo. Your speed can be gauged by RPM`s and gear you are in.

Oh stock tach size would be fine with me, as long as I could just check without looking down.
