Even their DOT helmets are pretty thin...

These they make for kayak'ers, don't know why they'd be different...
..except I never saw any helmets discussed as reverseable before, and some of these are.

Their website has a good number of rider testimonial letters,
crediting non-DOT helmets with saving their lives.

Seems if you're gonna wear a helmet, it ought to be able to do some good.
