Went through 2 clutch cables in 2 years on my girlfriends Street 750. Replacements were not easy to find, anyone else have this problem and know a fix? She is a very gentle rider

Routing could be wrong causing wear, usually noticeable if throttle doesn't snap back easily. Techs sometimes get a twist in the barrel end of the throttle cables which isn't noticed on snap back.

Breeze, shortly after purchasing my 07 Ultra I broke a throttle cable. The barrel was twisted as you mentioned. I "worked" the twist grip a little to get the barrel to fit and swivel properly.
Johnny, look into (or have someone look into) the way the barrel fits into the twist grip. I'll bet it's common for them to be improperly placed into the twistgrip.
