You betcha. Was supposed to head out today, got washed out and a few problems at work. But tomorrow, I'll be on my way, heated gloves and all. When were you gonna head up? And the bigger question.. where were you going to stay, everything is booked, I don't know about the camp grounds though. I'm staying with friends or I'd offer ya a place to crash.
Yeah, not sure. I was thinking about leaving here Friday after work and getting about 4 hrs in of a 6 hr trip. I'd get there Saturday morning. Probably head back out Saturday evening since these are last minute plans.

You've still got my cell number right? I'm thinking of heading back Saturday too, its gonna get cold up there. When you get in, give me a call, my buddy usually has a good party going, one more will be welcome. We might wanna head back together that sounds good. I don't have a map in front of me, but when you get to the slab, in Illinois I think 294. Check out taking I-88 (east west tollway) to 39 north, that turns into 51 north, all the way up, easy run. AND.. no effing construction..
From here I just head up around the north end of Lake Michigan. It's all 2 lane for me.

Yep I have your number. If I can pull this off I'll give you a shout when I get there. Thanks!
Yeah you have a way better ride than I do, its all slab till I get to Wisconsin, 39 is okay, 51 is great, lots of scenery.
Bike is packed, I'm ready to roll out in the morning. Leathers, rain gear... bring it!!

Ride safe, give me a call if you put it together, text is okay too.
Have a safe ride, Bruce. Hope to see you there.
49 degrees here right now ! Dress warm !

Thanks for the heads up, its a bit cooler than usual here too. Heated gloves and a face shield are gonna be my friends... especially headed back.

@Jerry-- Make sure your warm gear can take you to 30's to the 40's, its gonna bit a bit nippy in the morning on Sat if you can make it.
Coming back from Hayward on the 90-94 just south of the Dells see a lot of bikers going north going to tomahawk all bundled up hope they have warm clothes calling for low thirties at night here the next couple days stay warm you guys and dry

Gonna head up for the day on Friday solo unless the wife wants to come along then Saturday. About 3 hrs one way for us, not bad.
Did a day trip yesterday to Tomahawk. Wisconsin's little Sturgis. About 380 miles round trip. All rain on the way home.
-Toured the HD factory up there. This one makes the bags, fairings, tour paks, windshields and side covers.
-Stopped by the HOG tent to get a pin and some more stickers.
-Sat on the new Ultra Low. It sits nice & low, but, I would like the bars higher. I'm only 5'9" and they seemed too low.
-Hit Sara Park and got a t-shirt and a coffee. It was 38 deg. when I left at 5:30am yesterday morning and after the 3 hour ride to Tomahawk it was only up to 39 deg. It finally got up to 47 for the rainy ride home.
-Went up to Bubba's big party. He has all kinds of stuff going on up there. Did the little swap meet, got a bbq sammich, hooked up with some friends and went back to Sara park for awhile & then home.
It is a 4 day rally with a few scheduled rides, raffles, test rides on the new bikes, a lot of bands and beer, tons of vendors, float plane rides, camping, etc.... It is basically a huge fund raiser for the MDA.
Got the last few miles needed to get my 10k scheduled.

Just got home, that was some cold rainy weather, heated gloves and a face shield were my friends. Riding in 50 degree weather for 6 and half hours is not fun. Heading back it was cold in the morning but much better as the day progressed. Great party, always is.
