Does anybody know if the stock barrels, pistons, and cams swap from a 2010 flhtcu 96ci engine to a 2004 dyna super glide 88ci?

i dont think the pistons will fit- the 96 stroke is different

smarter people me will reply im sure
Definitely not the cams. The 88" cams have bearings in the case as well as bearings in the cam plate. The 96" motors have a completely different cam plate. The cams "float" in it without bearings.
I think I was told you can use the heads and jugs...( if you bore the jugs) but nothing else

The bore is the same on an 88" and 96". The 96" just has a 3/8" longer stroke.

96" is same 4" bore as 88" engine. Same pistons. Same jugs. Crank has different stroke.

I am planning for doing the top end on my Dyna TC 88. Obviously I can save down time by finding a pair of donor jugs and getting them bored before hand. Is there any reason to not do that? I can't see "original" jugs adding anything to value once you start boring. Am I wrong?

Is there even a unique id number on the sleeves? I'm not even sure there'd be a way to know if they were original or not.

It must not be that big of a deal. A lot of machine shops do them on exchange so you can get them immediately.
That's kinda what I was. Thinkin, I was just curious. It really doesn't make much difference because I don't think you would ever get out of one what you put into it engine wise unless it was to someone who knew the bike and wanted it turn key.

I'm in the same boat... I contacted Scott at Hillside to see what my options were gonna be. wanna go a little bigger, but want the reliability as well (going to Sturgis next year) and I still have 3yrs left on the extended warranty. don't know if the Moco covers this if something goes boom
as far as markings go, I know on my wife's 03 Anniversary Sporty, there's a 100yr badge on the case right below the forward jug on the clutch cable side. Mine's still at the dealer, get it this Sat, so I can't say if it has the same thing or not
